Fear Factor II

How did the fear factor work for you so far? When is the endgame coming?

The unsettle streets in Hong Kong were quiet for 3 weeks. Then there were the outbreaks in Mong Kok and several other locations this week. Some even in the shopping malls.

From The Guardian: “Hong Kong police used pepper spray and made arrests on Sunday as small groups of black-clad pro-democracy protesters targeted some of the city’s shopping centres, ending a rare lull in violence.”

Police kept using pepper spray, and from the news, we see that many people from the media were injured; some even claimed that police targeted at media and first aid rescue workers.

How does all this make any sense? Why would a schoolgirl and 16-year-old boy arrest by police? Why would hundreds of young people turn the Hong Kong Polytechnic University's redbrick campus into a fortress? What has gone wrong?

Different sides have different views, and many speculations are going on. But we all agree that it is unsettling for Hong Kong.

Let’s set the record straight. I do not have any strong political position in this — I am not a Leftist (or Pro-Communist Groups) nor a Rightist (or Pro-democracy Camp). But I’m afraid I have to disagree with violent behaviour. And I do not appreciate anyone using…
