I survived 20 articles on Medium in 3 months
It was not as difficult as I thought. Here I am sharing my writing journey with you.
I never think I could make it
It was more of a challenge for me when I first started writing at Medium on Nov 12, 2019–about 3 months ago.
A friend of mine suggested a book deal with me in fall 2019. I thought about it for a few months, and I turned it down.
I did not think I am good enough to do it.
I still don’t think I am good enough in writing — I am not particularly good at grammar nor choices of words, and perhaps my sentence structure is off, for both English and Chinese.
But the day I turned down the book deal proposal, I did something constructive in this regard — I started my 1st article on Medium. It took me exactly 1.5 hours to write the first one. I remember this so clearly because I stayed in the coffee shop after the meeting, and I had 1.5 hours of break before my lunch date with another friend.
The 1st article was an easy one as it is based on something I already have in mind. I’ve conveyed the idea to many people around me as well.
