The Era of Colour
The red & green for Christmas, yellow & blue in Hong Kong, and the orange, green and blue in Taiwan.
I watched the news last night and learned that the Ugly Sweater Party and that celebrities such as Ryan Reynold were wearing the ugly sweater and raising funds for charity. According to Refinary29.com, “Reynolds is matching any donations made before midnight on December 24 to FundTheFight.CA because “every holiday story deserves a magical ending,” as the video states.” How sweet is that? The ugly sweater is a sweater that looks like a Christmas gift with big blocks of red and green colours on it. Red and green — the two colours basically speaks for the lovely holidays of Christmas.
On the other side of the planet, the prolonged protest of Hong Kong has led people into two colours — yellow and blue. To my surprise, I found from the BCC News Chinese version that people support restaurants and shops with their political standpoints. If you support the Leftist (or Pro-Communist Groups), you consume at a shop that the owner supports Leftist (represented by blue colour). The supporters of Rightist (or Pro-democracy Camp), in return, make their purchases to supporters’ shops that hold the same political belief, and the yellow colour represents it).
